Here at Elgin Counselling Centre, you will meet your counsellor in a private and confidential setting. Your counsellor has the skills and training needed to help you explore your feelings and help you through the issues affecting your life.
Our counselling service is supported by a team of counsellors who are qualified and experienced. All of our counsellors are registered with a recognised professional body.
We offer confidential, face-to-face, online and telephone counselling which is a different experience for each client as we are all unique individuals. Our aim is to accept you as you are, to hear and understand you, and enter into a therapeutic relationship that is real and genuine in which we can help you to identify your issues and resolutions. We offer a safe place to explore feelings and emotions in a non-judgmental setting.
Is this for me?
Counselling can help people with many issues. The sessions can be helpful for people who may or may not have a mental health diagnosis, so you do not have to have a specific condition to access the support. Some examples of things that people bring to counselling include depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, relationships, abuse, bereavement and loss, and many more.
Your counsellor will not judge you or tell you what to do but will listen and help support you to make sense of the events and experiences in your life and identify any changes you may like to make. You and your counsellor can work together to develop coping techniques and strategies to help you overcome the difficulties you are facing.
Who can access?
Anyone who is experiencing difficulties with their mental health or emotional well-being.
